During a conversation about life with his supervisor, Prophet Roelof Meijer was told that it is difficult to believe in God. After all, when you look at all the suffering in the world (in my life, my colleague’s, etc.). Roelof had only one response to this.
Roelof immediately suggested praying for the colleague who had a skin condition and whom his supervisor had been complaining about. Fortunately, this was allowed. And while praying, something happened that Roelof will never forget.
While Roelof is praying and keeping his hand on his colleague’s shoulder, he feels the courage to pray in the Spirit as well. He does this briefly and softly, so that no one can hear him clearly. When he finishes praying, he doesn’t yet know what to do. But his colleague exclaims, “I felt warmth all over my body!”
Roelof explains that this is the touch of the Holy Spirit. That is precisely why Jesus died—so that God can renew our whole lives and put an end to all suffering in the world!
