During my (Prophet Roelof Meijer) interactions with Christians from all kinds of denominations, the importance of praying in the Spirit came up regularly. At first, I thought it was strange. Why would that be so important? Yet, I began to open up more and more to the idea that this praying in a strange language might be important. (And it is, because it pushes the boundaries of what is possible for you as a human being.)
It had been on my heart for a while (Prophet Roelof Meijer). While praying, it came to mind again. The feeling was so strong that I decided to share God’s words with my pastor, Pastor Popoola.
After Prophet Roelof Meijer had posted only his second video online in March 2026, he received a very encouraging response from Jonathan.
During a conversation about life with his supervisor, Prophet Roelof Meijer was told that it is difficult to believe in God. After all, when you look at all the suffering in the world (in my life, my colleague’s, etc.). Roelof had only one response to this.
It was one evening in the middle of the summer of (probably) 2012. Prophet Roelof Meijer had just read the Book of Daniel and was filled with wonder at what God was revealing to him.
On Sunday afternoon, Prophet Roelof Meijer preaches at SOZO International Church in Kampen. It is 2024, and this is the first time he has preached there. His sermon focuses on the importance and implications of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2).
It might not seem that important, but for a student, this is practically the difference between having a life or not. The thing is, in 2013, Prophet Roelof Meijer was hit by a car and his bike was completely wrecked. Even though he didn’t know what to do, God knew—and even better than Roelof could have imagined!
